Bergsiegel Brennnesselblätter nettle leaves are harvested during the flowering period and have a diuretic effect. Their high amounts of vitamins, enzymes and iron have positive effects on the digestive tract. Nettle leaves also provide benefits to the skin and coat; here the leaves can be either taken internally or applied externally.

Feeding Recommendation
- the following quantities are recommended as supplement to daily rations: Warmbloods 30–50 g, thoroughbreds 40 g, ponies 30 g.
- administer the herbs over a six-week period.
- do not feed to horses with weak hearts.
