Green oats are produced from oat plants that are harvested before maturity, in the so-called “milk stage”. Because the grain is not yet mature, the feed will be low in starch and sugar but high in crude fibre; green oats make an ideal feed for herbivorous rodents.
Green oats are said to stimulate metabolism, regulate digestion and boost the immune system.
They also taste good and even fussy eaters enjoy them. The green oats are gently air-dried for a feed of outstanding quality which can be fed even to animals with food sensitivities.
