Why green oats instead of oats?

Oats (Avena sativa) are traditionally regarded as a concentrate feed – but not all horses can tolerate starch-rich grains. Sensitive horses require an alternative that provides energy in a way their body can cope with.
This is exactly what Bavarian-grown AGROBS® GRÜNHAFERCOBS deliver. To make Grünhafercobs, the entire oat plant is harvested after flowering but before full grain development. At this early stage, the plants are naturally rich in valuable crude fibre but low in starch. They release energy steadily without blood sugar spikes, effects on temperament or strain on the stomach. They are dried using a gentle, warm air-drying process that preserves essential nutrients and keeps the cobs mould- and dust-free. The result is a pure natural product that meets our high standards for quality and tolerability.
